Massachusetts State Rep. William Pignatelli, from Berkshire County, will not seek re-election.

He posted on X: “it’s been an honor to serve with some amazing people making our commonwealth special.”

He said it is not a retirement, but the close of one chapter and the opening of a new one.

The 64-year-old was first elected to the House in 2002.
