Berne man arrested for having child pornography, police say

New York State Police arrested Anthony W. Rera, 29, of Berne on Wednesday for promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.

State Police say his arrest followed an investigation and execution of a search warrant on his home in Berne.

Authorities say Rera was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

He was processed at State Police of Princetown and taken to the Schoharie County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
