Bethlehem receives grant to build multi-use path

The town of Bethlehem is getting 1.5 million dollars in state funding to build a path connecting the Albany County rail trail and the Slingerlands commercial district.

The grant was awarded today by the state DOT.

The town will kick in 290 thousand dollars in funding.

The multi-use path will run nearly a mile along Cherry Ave giving pedestrians and bikers a safe link from the rail trail to the growing Slingerlands commercial area.
