A Saratoga Springs man has died after being hit while on New York State Route 29.

The crash happened around the Saratoga Winery in the town of Milton just after 11:30 Monday evening, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said.

A 2014 Jeep Compass was traveling eastbound on Route 29, when it struck two bicyclists that had also been traveling eastbound on Route 29.

Nathan J. Shreve, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene, investigators said.

The other bicyclist was transported to Saratoga Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
