An Albany woman was recently pardoned by President Joe Biden for a non-violent drug offense.
Stacy Lynn Wilder, 49, served her sentence and a period of supervised release, the president said.
She is now a trusted, hard-working payroll examiner in state government who is praised by supervisors, the president said. She also donates money to many charities.
“Had Ms. Wilder been sentenced under current law and sentencing practices today, she would have received a significantly lower sentence,” the president said in a statement.
Wilder is one of 11 people in this group of pardons. Five other people had their sentences commuted.
