Black Lives Matter leader files suit against Saratoga Springs

A leader from the Saratoga Springs chapters of Black Lives Matter, Lexis Figuereo is suing the city – accusing excessive force by police during a protest in 2020.
The suit also names former Mayor Meg Kelly, former Commissioner of Public Safety Robin Dalton, former Police Chief Shane Crooks, Assistant Chief John Catone, and Saratoga County Sheriff Michael Zurlo.
Other lawsuits will likely be filed, Figuero’s attorney said.
