Boaters in danger on Sacandaga River saved

Right place at the right time. Two boaters in danger– were saved Thursday while in the Sacandaga River in Hadley.

Members of state police under water recovery team and state fire members were wrapping up a training session, when they were told of an inflatable vessel in trouble.
The team rescued the two boaters clinging to a rock in rapid waters and brought them to safety.

Everyone on the boat was accounted for, and is now safe, state police said.
