A body recovered from the Mohawk River in Niskayuna is Kevin White, 41, a man reported missing in Canajoharie, said investigators on Monday.

An autopsy was done Monday morning, and his death was ruled a suicidal drowning.

The body was pulled from the river shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday near Lions Park. It was discovered by a kayaker, a state police spokesperson said.

The body appeared to have been in the water for quite a while, State Police said.

The Canajoharie police chief told NewsChannel 13 on Monday that the clothing and a tattoo on the body match the description of Kevin White.
