Two local colleges received bomb threats Friday.
The first call came in at SUNY Empire State. Around 1 p.m., Saratoga Springs police got a call about a possible bomb on the West Avenue Campus.
At the same time, a person reported a suspicious device in the building. Police searched the campus and no device was found.
Then just 15 minutes later, there was another bomb threat at Maria College in Albany.
A section of New Scotland Avenue was shut down while police investigated, and determined this was a prank.
The college and the road have since reopened.
