Boy, 13, charged in pair of Albany shootings
A 13-year-old boy was arrested in connection to two shootings in Albany.
Albany Police responded to the 200 block of Henry Johnson Boulevard just before 7 p.m. last Friday.
When they arrived, they found a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his leg, they said.
He was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
After an investigation, they say the teen had fired a modified flare gun at an unknown individual who had pulled a handgun.
The suspect is also charged with a shooting that happened on Lark Street and Second Street last October.
The 13-year-old boy’s name will not be released due to his age.
He was arraigned Wednesday and taken to Albany County Juvenile Detention Center.
