Boy, 14, charged with threatening Rotterdam school

A 14-year-old boy at Draper Middle School in Rotterdam is charged in connection with a threat at Bradt Elementary School.

The threat was posted on social media and spread fear through the school community.

The boy did not have any access to weapons and no intention of carrying out the threat, said police.

He’s charged with making a terroristic threat and will appear in Schenectady County Family Court.
