Boy, 15, charged in Troy pocketknife assault

A 15-year-old boy in Troy was charged in a pocketknife assault.

It happened just after 11 a.m. at Troy Community School.

The suspect and the victim, a 16-year-old boy, had been fighting, police said. A member of the school’s security team was also hurt as they tried to break up the fight.

The suspect was treated for a minor injury. He will be charged in family court.

Students were held in their classrooms for a time while police investigated.

Everyone is expected to make a full recovery.
