Two boys were saved from the rushing water of the Hoosic River in North Adams on Tuesday.

The boys are 12 years old and 8 years old, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle report.

Two of the rescuers were off-duty firefighters who quickly jumped into action.

One boy was holding on to a rock to fight the current.

Both were rescued, and taken to Berkshire Medical Center as a precaution.
