A bridge over the Battenkill River will be named in honor of late Greenwich Fire Department Deputy Chief Brian Buell, NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star report.

The New York State Legislature approved the bill that names the bridge carrying state Route 372 over the river after him.

Buell died at age 47 last June from esophageal cancer.
