Brooklyn man guilty of killing Troy teenager

Khalil Clay, 21, was convicted of second-degree murder after a jury trial, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office said. Clay and two other men forced their way into the home of Anthony Christopher, 16, on Jan. 5, 2022 and shot him multiple times in the chest and once in the head.

A Brooklyn man was found guilty of killing a Troy teen.

Khalil Clay, 21, was convicted of second-degree murder after a jury trial, the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office said.

Clay and two other men forced their way into the home of Anthony Christopher, 16, on Jan. 5, 2022 and shot him multiple times in the chest and once in the head.

His accomplices, Ramel Gulley and William Webb, were found guilty in March.  

Clay faces a maximum term of 25 years to life in prison when sentenced on May 17.

The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office thanked the Troy Police, FBI gang task force members and the New York City Brooklyn North Violent Crime Squad that helped develop warrants to track down the suspects.
