Voters approve $11.28 million Cambridge school auditorium renovation
Voters in the Cambridge Central School District approved a $11.28 million project to renovate the auditorium.
A total of 416 people voted in favor compared with 255 against.
The highlights of the project reconstructing a formal auditorium space in its current location; creating an entrance and lobby area adjacent to the auditorium; renovating the rooms adjacent to the auditorium and removing asbestos throughout the affected areas, the district said.
Construction will start in the summer of 2025.
The project will not have any tax impact on the community because the district has debt coming off the books, police said.
