Canadian citizen arrested for smuggling people into U.S.
A Canadian citizen faces several charges after being extradited to Albany.

The citizen, 40-year-old Simranjit Singh, is accused of smuggling people into the U.S.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Singh is accused of smuggling people from India through the St. Lawrence region, between march of 2020, through march of 2021.
If convicted on all charges, sentencing carries at least 5 years and up to 15 years in prison.
