The Capital Region came together to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Alice Green.

A candlelight vigil was held for the local civil right leader Friday night.

Dr. Green passed away earlier this week from a heart attack.

She founded the Center for Law and Justice in 1985 in the City of Albany.

She was 84-years-old.
