The Saratoga Springs woman who police say was killed by a former intimate partner may have died from asphyxiation, a police source tells NewsChannel 13.

Brianna Craig was killed on Tuesday at her home at Vanderbilt Terrace. A candlelight vigil will be held on Friday 6 p.m. at the apartment complex.

Sebastian Mabb, 31, has been charged with second-degree murder. Police said he got into a physical altercation with Craig inside her residence between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Police responded to the home at around 6:40 p.m. and found her dead.

Mabb was taken into custody a short time later at the residence.

An autopsy of Craig has been completed. Lt. Paul Veitch said police have no information to release.

However, a source tells NewsChannel 13 that no knife or gun was used in the alleged crime.
