The Capital City Rescue Mission is offering people a break from the heat.

Executive director and Pastor Perry Jones is handing out cold water and ice pops for those who need to cool off.
You’re probably familiar with the code blue program, which gets people out of the cold in the winter. When it’s this hot out – it’s called code red.
The rescue mission says they have seen a lot of traffic this week, because it’s been so hot.
