‘Capital Region Gives Back’ honors 10 charities
People who are part of 10 area charities were recognized at a ceremony on Wednesday at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs.
The event, called “Capital Region Gives Back” Was put on by Capital Region Living and Saratoga Living Magazine. It also served as a fundraiser for each of the charities being honored. Attendees could choose which charity their admission price would benefit.
The honorees included those who help pets, people with disabilities and racetrack backstretch workers. The charity receiving the most money was the Franklin Community Center, which helps impoverished people of Saratoga County make ends meet. NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland served as master of ceremonies.
