Capital Region ready to ring in 2024

The Capital Region has several events planned to ring in 2024.

Indian Ladder Farms is hosting its annual bonfire, where people are encouraged to bring their old Christmas trees.

Children can celebrate with a countdown to noon, which lasts between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Christmas tree collection will start at 5 p.m.

There will be a fireworks display in Saratoga Springs. It will start at 6 p.m. at Ellsworth Jones Place outside the city center.

If you’re staying in Saratoga, the First Day 5K on Jan. 1 will help people kick off the new year.

Lake George is hosting the Polar Plunge off Shepard Park Beach.

The village is expecting about 1,000 people to dive into 2024.

The first wave of people will enter the icy water at 1 p.m. on Jan. 1.

You can sign up starting at 10:30 at Duffy’s Tavern. It’s $10 to enter and the money will go toward the Springfield Shriners Hospital for Children and the Lake George Fire Department.
