Cardiac arrest blamed in Rensselaer crash

A deadly crash in Rensselaer is under investigation.

Investigators say a person went into cardiac arrest just after 7 a.m. Friday morning.

They crashed into a parked car at Broadway and Tracy Street.

The person was pronounced dead at Albany Medical Center a short time later.

Roads in the area were closed for a time, but have since reopened.

Police aren’t releasing the victim’s name until family is notified.
