Cat killed in West Albany fire
A cat was killed in a fire on 49 Braintree Street in West Albany.
Firefighters were called around 11 a.m. Saturday morning, according to West Albany Fire Chief Daniel Sullivan.
Two other cats in the home made it out safely, the fire chief said. No people were hurt.
The fire was under control in a half hour to 45 minutes, said the chief, but the basement was badly damaged.
There is no word yet on a cause.
