City of Albany, firefighters union ratify new contract

The city of Albany and Albany Permanent Professional Firefighters Association are announcing the overwhelming ratification of new contract.

This agreement provides members of the Albany Fire Department with raises. A pay bump between 2.5% and 3% over the next four years.

The fire chief also says the contract will help with recruitment and future growth of the department, as it strives to remain at full staffing levels.
