City officials sign letter opposing care center closure
The fight to keep the Burdett Care Center open is still going on.

Friday Troy Mayor Patrick Madden signed a letter to the New York State health department opposing the closure.
He is doing so because of his concerns over what this would mean for local families, he said.
The proposed closure plan is awaiting approval by state officials.
