Clifton Park man sentenced in sexual assault, strangulation case

A Clifton Park man has been sentenced to nine years behind bars and 25 years of post-release supervision for sexual assault.
Michael Girard, 33, pleaded guilty in August, after he was accused of engaging in a criminal sex act and trying to strangle the victim while preventing them from escaping.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested him last November.
