Cohoes gears up for Winter carnival

The Winter Carnival in the city of Cohoes is Saturday, March 4.
The event was postponed for about a month because of the mild weekends we’ve been seeing.
The Winter Carnival is from noon until 3 p.m. at the Van Schaick Island Pond.
The ice is still thin, so there won’t be any skating, but all kinds of activities are planned – including a big pile of snow for kids to paint on.
There will also be free food, horse and carriage rides, music, and games.
