Cohoes residents file to intervene in state lawsuit against Norlite
People living in Cohoes are making sure their voices are still heard, as the state takes action against the Norlite facility.
The group Lights Out Norlite filed papers in New York State Supreme Court to intervene in the lawsuit brought by Attorney General Letitia James’ Office.
James and the Department of Environmental Conservation are asking the courts to make Norlite immediately stop harmful emissions and suspend certain operations.
Lights Out Norlite says they want to make sure there is an independent group representing the interests of the public in any court action against Norlite.
