Cohoes woman accused of forging $13,000 in checks from Albany employer
A Cohoes woman is accused of stealing more than $13,000 from an Albany business when she worked there.
Cynthia A. Peltier, 41, allegedly cashed multiple unauthorized forged checks from the business into her personal bank account from January 2024 through March 2024, State Police said. The investigation began after troopers received a complaint from the business, which is located in the Empire State Plaza.
Peltier was charged with first-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny. She was arraigned in Albany City Court and released on her own recognizance.
