Colonie Center gave out nearly $20,000 to local schools. The local school bucks campaign aims to help fund schools PTO activities.

Colonie Center gave out nearly $20,000 to local schools on Sunday.

The local School Bucks Campaign aims to help fund schools’ PTO activities.

The first-place winner was Blessed Sacrament, the second was St. Pius X and the third was Albany School of Humanities. They gave out money to eight local schools in total.

Money has previously gone to help improve a school playground, field trips, school supplies or school parties.
