Colonie Police increase patrols for Labor Day weekend

The Colonie Police Department is ramping up patrols on the roads this coming Labor Day weekend.
It’s all part of Albany County’s Stop DWI campaign to prevent impaired driving crashes, injuries, and deaths.
In 2021 there were 531 traffic crash deaths in the United States Labor Day weekend, with 41% of those crashes involving a drunken driver, according to police.
