Colonie Police, Watervliet church team up for food donation drive

The Colonie Police Department and the Grace Fellowship Church partnered up on Monday to make sure everyone has a free meal.

The Faith and Blue Partnership was launched to promote partnership between law enforcement and community groups through the connections of faith-based organizations.
They held the drop-off event in Watervliet, and the Grace Fellowship Church said the partnership just makes sense. Many of the police officers attend church there, and the force often helps the church with traffic control and other needs.

All the donations will go to Joseph’s House and the Unity House.
