Columbia County couple accused of having drugs

A husband-and-wife from Columbia County are facing drug charges.
Robert Perez, 43, and Tonya Perez, 41, were arrested last week after a search of their home in Ghent. Investigators found 102 grams of cocaine, 72 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 7.7 grams of fentanyl, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Robert Perez, 43, and Tonya Perez, 41, were arrested last week after a search of their home in Ghent. Investigators found 102 grams of cocaine, 72 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 7.7 grams of fentanyl, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
The drugs have a combined estimated street value of nearly $10,000, investigators said.
Both were charged with six counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. They were arraigned in Claverack Town Court and appeared for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 10. They are due back in court at a later date.
