Congress expected to vote on bill permanently funding health care for 9/11 victims
Congress is expected to vote on a funding fix that ensures 9/11 first responders never have to worry about getting the health care they need.
Extra funding was secured by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer in the upcoming budget bill.
This is permanent federal funding that was secured.
Even 23 years after the 9/11 attacks, there are still so many people being diagnosed with health problems, Schumer noted.
