Connecticut man arrested in connection with Amsterdam robbery

A Connecticut man is facing charges for allegedly breaking into an Amsterdam home and stealing from the property.
Tayari Holt, 48, allegedly damaged the front door of the home and forced his way into the building. Once Holt was inside, he stole money and personal items from the residence, according to the Amsterdam Police Department.
An arrest warrant was issued for Holt back in May. Authorities believed the suspect fled to Connecticut.
Earlier this month, they found Holt in the town of Rockville, Connecticut and took him into in Amsterdam.
He was arraigned and taken to jail.
