Construction is now underway on a 60-unit affordable housing development in Schenectady.
Work began Wednesday at Mosaic Apartments.

The all-electric, energy efficient development in the Mont Pleasant Neighborhood will include 30 apartments with supportive services for seniors and people with disabilities.

Residents will also be provided with free high-speed internet and laundry facilities in each building.

The project will cost around $27 million.
