The Department of State Division of Consumer Protection is offering some tips to prevent package and identity theft. The agency recommends that people track their packages through the delivery company’s app and schedule deliveries for times they know someone will be home.
The Department of State Division of Consumer Protection is offering some tips to prevent package and identity theft.
The agency recommends that people track their packages through the delivery company’s app and schedule deliveries for times they know someone will be home.
They also recommend installing a security or doorbell camera and requiring a signature on the delivery. They also want people to avoid phishing attempts, especially from people who pretend to be delivery companies, banking and credit companies and large retailers.
