Contractor charged in Albany with $35,000 scam

A man has been charged with grand larceny in Albany, for allegedly scamming customers out of more than $35,000 over agreed upon contracted work.

State Police received a complaint last September against a business called BluView windows in Albany.
An investigation found James Larkin of Connecticut was the owner of the business, they said.

Larkin collected the money – meant to act as a deposit and-or payment for contracted work -s they said.

He also never started any of the work, and he never returned the money to the victims, according to investigators.
