Conviction could land Albany man in prison for 40 years to life

An Albany man was convicted of murder, assault and weapons possession in Albany County.
Jaiquan Allah, 26, now faces 40 years to life in prison.
Allah shot and killed William Hooks on June 20, 2020.
He was also accused of injuring a second victim at the same time.
The incident happened near 163 North Lake Avenue in Albany.
Sentencing is scheduled for September.
