Copake man gets over seven years in prison for having child pornography

A Columbia County man was sentenced on Wednesday to over seven years in prison for downloading child pornography.

A Columbia County man was sentenced on Wednesday to over seven years in prison for downloading child pornography.

Christopher Stickles, 35, of Copake, admitted to downloading the photos and videos between January 2021 and August 2022, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Stickles will have to pay $6,000 in restitution to two victims.

He also faces 15 years of post-release supervision and must register as a sex offender.
