Cops: Albany man had fentanyl, crack

An Albany man was arrested on Friday allegedly possessing fentanyl and crack-cocaine.

Albany County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Eloiyo Allen in the city of Albany for traffic violations. Deputies observed Allen throw a handbag out of the vehicle. That bag contained 230 envelopes containing a quantity of fentanyl, 25 plastic bags containing crack-cocaine and some cash.

Allen is facing felony charges including three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of tampering with physical evidence. He also was charged with a misdemeanor of criminally using drug paraphernalia.

He was set to be arraigned Friday evening in Albany City Court.
