Cops: Argyle man threatened officers with bat

An Argyle man was arrested for allegedly threatening officers with a bat during a domestic incident.

State Police responded to a home in the area of County Route 49 at about 9 p.m. on Sept. 16. Police attempted to interview 42-year-old Daniel P. Zayachek. He was uncooperative and refused to follow commands, police said.

Zayachek grabbed the bat and allegedly displayed it in a menacing manner. Police used a Taser and took him into custody. Zayachek refused medical treatment on scene.

He was charged with menacing a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon.

Zayachek was taken to Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
