Before country music superstar Scotty McCreery takes the stage at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady this weekend, he is talking exclusively with NewsChannel 13.

Since winning American Idol at the age of 17 and then taking home “Best New Artist” at the Country Music Awards, the now-30-year-old has taken five straight singles all the way to number 1 on the charts.

Proctors is the final stop on McCreery’s “Cab In A Solo” tour.

It’s named for the hit song on his new album coming out on May 10.
