Court papers newly obtained by NewsChannel 13 are shedding light on a Rotterdam double homicide, and the suspect who was arrested more than 200 miles away. The victims were the suspect’s mother and stepfather.
Anthony Lewis was arrested in Carbon County, Pennsylvania after a car crash. The crash was a rollover, according to the court affidavit, and Lewis was spotted walking along the highway after the crash.
When an officer approached Lewis, he allegedly ran into the woods, and emptied drugs out of his pockets.
After his arrest, police learned Lewis was driving his dead stepfather’s car.
Lewis allegedly took the car – the documents said – after the stabbing inside the mother and stepfather’s home on Fern Avenue in Rotterdam on July 7.
The affidavit describes Cathy Guillaume found on a bed, with Bob Guillaume found on the landing of the second floor, covered with a blanket. Both had stab wounds.
There was half a pair of scissors nearby, and a significant amount of blood in the home.
Lewis has waived extradition. The process is still underway to bring him back to Rotterdam from Pennsylvania to face murder charges.
