Crowds gather in Albany to honor veterans

Large crowds were in Albany on Saturday for the city’s annual Veterans Day parade.

The parade stepped off at the corner of Central Avenue and Ontario Street around 11 a.m. Saturday.

It then traveled down to the corner of Washington Avenue and Hawk Street.

“You know, they put their lives on the line for us to be able to do what we can do right now,” said Chauncey Carter, a parade goer. “I definitely respect them a lot and I feel like doing this is something that is well-needed, for sure.”

NewsChannel 13 streamed the parade on our website, Facebook and YouTube.
