The Capital Repertory Theatre has joined forces with the Cultural Center in Albany to support Black business owners. There’s a gala on Saturday, and everyone is invited.

Allie B, president of the Cultural Center and owner of the restaurant, Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen said the event is about coming together to network and raise money for those in need.

All of the funds raised at the 2023 Black Wall Street of the Capital Region Gala will go to the Cultural Center, a resource center located at 64 Quail Street.

“We’re giving away food on the street, we’re giving away clothes,” Allie B explained. “We’re giving away family trips, we’re doing our swimming program, and going into people’s houses…basically we do everything.”
