SARATOGA SPRINGS – New details are being announced before Saratoga’s new New Year’s Eve celebration.

NewsChannel 13 first told you last week that there would be a new event.

It’s being called Saratoga New Year’s Fest and it will feature about 25 musical acts at about a dozen downtown venues. There’ll be fireworks at around 6:30 on New Year’s Eve to start the adult festivities.
All access tickets are being sold for $20.

Unlike First Night, this event is being organized as a for-profit festival with underwriting sponsors.

Adult beverages will be served at some of the venues. Organizers have booked the Cowboy Junkies and other bands with national followings.
