A 15-year-old Shenendehowa student was caught with a BB gun on campus Monday morning, police said. The boy has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor weapons possession.

A student at High School East learned about the gun and told administrators, the district said. Investigators quickly found the student and BB gun.

The school was put into a hold in place.

The boy was released to a parent.
