Doctors remove tiny skin cancer spot from Hochul’s nose
Gov. Kathy Hochul is recovering from skin cancer surgery last week.
Doctors removed a tiny spot of basil cell carcinoma on her nose.
The procedure was done using local anesthesia.
Hochul has a bandage on her nose. She may have some swelling or a black eye in the area of the surgery, she said.
“Early detection is everything. This was tiny. I noticed it. My doctor noticed it. We got it removed, sparing all kinds of problems in the future,” Hochul said.
She also thanked her doctors and all the people who sent her get well messages.
